dyld: Library not loaded: @rpath/libswiftCore.dylib

If you have tried

  • Restarting Xcode, iPhone, computer
  • Cleaning & rebuilding
  • Revoking and creating new certificate/provision profile
  • Runpath Search Paths is $(inherited) @executable_path/Frameworks
  • Embedded Content Contains Swift Code is 'Yes'
  • Code Signing Identity is developer

Below is the error in entirety

dyld: Library not loaded: @rpath/libswiftCore.dylib Referenced from: /private/var/mobile/Containers/Bundle/Application/LONGSERIALNUMBER/AppName.app/AppName Reason: no suitable image found. Did find: /private/var/mobile/Containers/Bundle/Application/LONGSERIALNUMBER/AppName.app/Frameworks/libswiftCore.dylib: mmap() error 1 at address=0x008A1000, size=0x001A4000 segment=__TEXT in Segment::map() mapping /private/var/mobile/Containers/Bundle/Application/LONGSERIALNUMBER/APPLICATION_NAME/Frameworks/libswiftCore.dylib
Then for me none of the previous solutions worked. We discovered that there is an " mbedded Content Contains Swift Code" flag in the Build Settings that needs to be set to YES. It was NO by default! After setting this, clean the project before building again.

How to log a method's execution time exactly in milliseconds?

If you want to use in coding style, then use these statements,

NSDate *methodStart = [NSDate date];    /* ... Do whatever you need to do ... */    NSDate *methodFinish = [NSDate date];  NSTimeInterval executionTime = [methodFinish timeIntervalSinceDate:methodStart];  NSLog(@"executionTime = %f", executionTime);

Easy to use and has sub-millisecond precision.

But if you want use macros, then this is good approach

#define TICK NSDate *startTime = [NSDate date] #define TOCK NSLog(@"Time: %f", -[startTime timeIntervalSinceNow])

Use it like this:

TICK;    /* ... Do Some Work Here ... */    TOCK;

Remove all the subviews from a UIScrollView?

Let scrollView be an instance of UIScrollView.

In Objective-C, it's pretty easy. Just call makeObjectsPerformSelector:, like so:

Objective-C:

[scrollView.subviews makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(removeFromSuperview)];

In Swift, you don't get that runtime access, so you have to actually handle the iteration yourself.

Swift:

A concise version, from here:

scrollview.subviews.map { $0.removeFromSuperview() }

A more descriptive way to do this (from here) assumes scrollview.subviews:

let subviews = self.scrollView.subviews  for subview in subviews{      subview.removeFromSuperview()  }

Is there a way to remove the separator line from a UITableView?

You can do this with the UITableView property separatorStyle. Make sure the property is set to UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleNone and you're set.

Obj-C

self.tableView.separatorStyle = UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleNone

In Swift

tableView.separatorStyle = .None

iPhone : Add animated Gif image in Iphone UIImageView in Objective c

If you have a gif image and you want to show it in UIImageView, then one method is to split all images from gif and use startAnimation method of UIImageView.

To split the gif, you can use this command

convert +adjoin loading.gif out%d.gif
After you get all images, you can use following code to display these in a UIImageView,

UIImageView* animatedImageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
animatedImageView.animationImages = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:
                               [UIImage imageNamed:@"image1.gif"],
                               [UIImage imageNamed:@"image2.gif"],
                               [UIImage imageNamed:@"image3.gif"],
                               [UIImage imageNamed:@"image4.gif"], nil];
animatedImageView.animationDuration = 1.0f;
animatedImageView.animationRepeatCount = 0;
[animatedImageView startAnimating];
[self.view addSubview: animatedImageView];

iPhone : How to insert utf-8 mb4 character(emoji in ios5) in mysql?

4 byte Unicode characters aren't yet widely used, so not every application out there fully supports them. MySQL 5.5 works fine with 4 byte characters when properly configured – check if your other components can work with them as well.

Here's a few other things to check out:
  • Make sure all your tables' default character sets and text fields are converted to utf8mb4, in addition to setting the client & server character sets, e.g. ALTER TABLE mytable charset=utf8mb4, MODIFY COLUMN textfield1 VARCHAR(255) CHARACTER SET utf8mb4,MODIFY COLUMN textfield2 VARCHAR(255) CHARACTER SET utf8mb4; and so on.

    If your data is already in the utf8 character set, it should convert to utf8mb4 in place without any problems. As always, back up your data before trying!
  • Also make sure your app layer sets its database connections' character set to utf8mb4. Double-check this is actually happening – if you're running an older version of your chosen framework's mysql client library, it may not have been compiled with utf8mb4 support and it won't set the charset properly. If not, you may have to update it or compile it yourself.

    To verify this, use this command grep -R "SET NAMES" *
  • When viewing your data through the mysql client, make sure you're on a machine that can display emoji, and run a SET NAMES utf8mb4 before running any queries.
Once every level of your application can support the new characters, you should be able to use them without any corruption.

A good tutorial on it can be found from here.

How to access website hosted on IIS of a virtual machine?

If you set the virtual addaptor to bridged mode this will give the virtual machine an IP address from your DHCP server (if you have one). try giving the host a static IP of 192.168.2.2 and the guest 192.168.2.3 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0) and see if you can ping between them. Also note bridge mode is not the same as host-only so you will need to have it connected to a network for this to work.

How to create a simple 'EqualityComparer' using a lamba expression

What about a throw away IEqualityComparer generic class ?

public class ThrowAwayEqualityComparer<T> : IEqualityComparer<T>  {    Func<T, T, bool> comparer;      public ThrowAwayEqualityComparer<T>(Func<T, T, bool> comparer)    {      this.comparer = comparer;    }      public bool Equals(T a, T b)    {      return comparer(a, b);    }      public int GetHashCode(T a)    {      return a.GetHashCode();    }  }
So now you can use Distinct.

var distinctImages = allImages.Distinct(     new ThrowAwayEqualityComparer<GalleryImage>((a, b) => a.Key == b.Key));
You might be able to get away with the <GalleryImage>, but I'm not sure if the compiler could infer the type (don't have access to it right now.)

And in an additional extension method:

public static class IEnumerableExtensions  {    public static IEnumerable<TValue> Distinct<TValue>(this IEnumerable<TValue> @this, Func<TValue, TValue, bool> comparer)    {      return @this.Distinct(new ThrowAwayEqualityComparer<TValue>(comparer);    }      private class ThrowAwayEqualityComparer...  }

SQL to UPDATE and REPLACE part of a string

If you have a table with one field as string and you want to replace a part of string in all rows then use this query

UPDATE dbo.xxx  SET Value = REPLACE(Value, '123\', '456')  WHERE ID <=4
Here dbo.xxx is the name of table and value is the column which you want to replace. In this case, it will replace all 123 with 456.

Ajax Not working in IOS 9.0 Cordova

As far as i understood the whole ATS (App Transport Security - iOS 9) thing, the recommended method from area28 should not be the one you're using inside an application.

<key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key>
<dict>
    <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key><true/>
</dict>

This will allow all external requests to every domain what is definitively not the way you should use it. In my opinion you should define a new <dict> inside your info.plist and add this code to it (to edit the info.plist you can just use a normal text editor like sublime text etc.):

<key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key>
    <dict>
        <key>NSExceptionDomains</key>
        <dict>
            <key>domain.tld</key>
            <dict>
                <key>NSIncludesSubdomains</key>
                <true/>
                <key>NSTemporaryExceptionAllowsInsecureHTTPLoads</key>
                <true/>
                <key>NSTemporaryExceptionMinimumTLSVersion</key>
                <string>TLSv1.1</string>
            </dict>
        </dict>
    </dict>

This will only allow requests to the domain you specified. The described way is the one which appleintroduced on the WWDC 2015. As you can see on the screenshot, it's the way apple want the users to use it.

If you haven't specified anything, you'll get

Failed to load webpage with error: The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection.

So, change it like i said and the error is gone away.

Apple : This certificate has an invalid issuer keychain

To fix this issue,
  1. Download https://developer.apple.com/certificationauthority/AppleWWDRCA.cer and double-click to install to Keychain.
  2. Select "View" -> "Show Expired Certificates" in Keychain app.
  3. Remove Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certificate Authority certificates from "login" tab and "System" tab in Keychain app.
Here is what apple says,

Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the community and apologies for the issues you've been having. This issue stems from having a copy of the expired WWDR Intermediate certificate in both your System and Login keychains. To resolve the issue, you should first download and install the new WWDR intermediate certificate (by double-clicking on the file). Next, in the Keychain Access application, select the System keychain. Make sure to select "Show Expired Certificates" in the View menu and then delete the expired version of the Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certificate Authority Intermediate certificate (expired on February 14, 2016). Your certificates should now appear as valid in Keychain Access and be available to Xcode for submissions to the App Store.
