Building Cross-Platform Apps with HTML: Part 1 of 4

One of the things that I've been spending a lot of time working with lately is the ability to be able to build cross-platform apps. While I spend a lot of time in the Microsoft space (especially Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8), I need to be able to create and deploy apps to iOS and Android platforms. I've decided to do a series on building one of these using Single Page Application for the web, then deploying it to devices via PhoneGap:

ASP .NET Plotter - HTML5 Charting for all

Nowadays, There are a plenty of Javascript charting libraries. Justly, this article aims to show you how you can integrate Javascript charting libraries in ASP .NET and build your own charting controls depending on your flavor and your needs.

This article describes the architecture and the source code of the released versions. Each version has its own section. Each section describes mock-ups, client side code, server side code and some concepts.

HTML5 Game Development for Windows 8 #3

Welcome back to my HTML5 game programming series. In this part of the tutorial we are going to finish our first HTML5 game for Windows 8. Note: This tutorial was written on the plane to Las Vegas, will fix typos at a later time. If you havent completed my previous tutorials, now is the time :) Anyhow. Last time we were left of with a playfield where you could move the hero around the screen, a main menu where you had to tap the screen to start the game, but no enemies. This is what we are going to implement today.

First Look at RadComboBox and RadAutoComplete for Windows 8 - HTML

Have you ever wanted to create a Metro Application that had a more powerful ComboBox with functionality such as auto-complete or placeholder text? What about an AutoCompleteBox with the same functionality, but found that control completely missing? Maybe you are writing an application that needs the user to select from a list of World Countries, but don't know where to start. First Look at Telerik RadNumericBox for Windows 8–HTML

Hello and welcome to the second part of our "Getting Started" with Telerik's Windows 8 UI Controls. In this post, we are going to specifically target Windows 8 Applications built using HTM5/JS/CSS3 and our new control suite. We are going to look at RadNumericBox and the various ways of adding it to a page, binding the control declarative and even wiring up event handlers. Let's get started.
